Should the people be allowed to see how their fate is being decided by the "leaders"? We are asked, even told, to "trust" the bosses. How about if they "trust" us?

1. Apparently some well-respected "adults in the room" think we have no place.
It is above our "pay grade" and that is what Obama said when he condescendingly suggested that people are too busy taking care of their families to understand what the adults are talking about.

Just leave it to them. How's that working out for you?

2. The people would storm DC and haul their "leaders" into the streets...
...if they ever saw how this stuff is done.

Something I just learned yesterday: Large corporations have their own pages in the tax code in order for them to get what they want.

4. That's existed for years! Back in the 70's I was talking to our Tax manager at work,
and he told me that the biggest reason the tax code book is so masive is because so many big corps have legislation written just for them. It's ony gotten worse over the years.

5. The idea that this is a democracy is a complete joke - time for the people to get that.

6. That would be a mistake, not because we shouldn't see and hear
what was going on, but because all the players would be playing to the cameras. That's one of the drawbacks to CSPAN. Everyone sho occupies the podium plays to the cameras in the room for their own personal political gain.

7. And, we could see that for what it is.
Instead, we see the politicians posturing after the negotiations.

Why not let the people see their public servants while they, allegedly, do the peoples business?
