I watched MSNBC today for the first time in quite a while . . . . . . |
|
. . . . . . and was quite surprised at the openly right wing turn they've taken. Somewhere in the Noon to 1 PM hour the host had on some guy who directed a film about Sarah Palin. No yelling. No screaming. Not even any debate. The Palin booster was simply given air time to pimp the movie and pump her up. The host's role was simple: a disgusting straight man to the guest.
Major Garret seems to now have a permanent presence there as a "guest."
I soon enough turned it off.
Disgusting for a cable operation that was trending to the center and has a strong left leaning prime time.

sat back not offering criticism.
Who was the "host"? Except for Thomas (forget his last name), most of the daytime kids just hold the spot and ask the questions, not listening to the response nor engaging the guest in any discussion. It's been a complaint of mind for some time. It's pretty much fluff. Wish Spitzer would get a gig in one of those slots.

5. On the flip side, the public service announcements that Rachel, Chris, Ed and Lawrence do... |
|
...are distinctly liberal - messages about kids without enough food, immigration, infrastructure, etc.

8. I watch Cenk, Lawrence, Rachel and Ed and nothing else on them |
|
because their M$NBComcast news coverage is no better than CNN and Fox. For TV breaking news I stream Al Jazeera and RT. They cover news stories in the USA that you never see on our news stations. I try to catch BBC News when I get a chance to as well. I wish we could get CBC somewhere. They have good news coverage too and I used to watch them until Current TV took over the Canadian news channel and we don't get it anymore.

I rarely watch it since Keith left. Lawrence and Ed take turns making me nauseous. Rachel is great but I'm tired of seeing Michael Steele. I watch Current, LinkTV and al Jazeera.

19. Daytime MSNBC has always |
|
leaned right. There might have been a glimmer of actual reporting once in a while but that was it. Thomas Roberts provided a glimmer today when he threw the truth back into which ever repuke was spouting the GOP talking points.

21. As the poster above said, Daytime MSNBC has ALWAYS swung to the right. |
|
First off you have multiple hours of Morning Joe, Then the daily news has always been to the right. The "liberal shows" start late afternoon.
I watched this morning too, I have seen no change from their pre-comcast daytime coverage.
