Wow. Bachmann? Really?
Hahahahahaha

Bachmann is ahead of Mittens 25-21 in Iowa.

The inmates really are in charge of the asylum.

1. She's the most popular of the crazies.
The rest are just splitting the remaining vote.

It is only 25%.

4. I don't see this as a surprise
1) IIRC, she's originally from IA.

2) She is friendly with Rep. Steve King, and her message plays really well in the rural towns west of I-35.

3) Pawlenty is about as exciting as watching paint dry. I'd say "as exciting as watching corn grow", but at the current prices, watching corn grow is actually pretty exciting.

4) She's playing very hard to the family values voters. Recent articles on her have focused on her many foster kids, her own struggles with miscarriage, and her latest edict that porn will be outlawed on her watch.

5) Sarah Palin is not running, so who is in Iowa to stop Bachmann?

6) Nothing has changed to make Mitt Romney a better candidate, from the Republican POV, than he was four years ago.

I'd add that there is something oddly familiar about your post:

7. Palin will eventually enter and split the Bachmann vote. Remember the beer commercials where the

guys at the bar would debate "Ginger or MaryAnn"? Well the fundies and Freepers nowadays debate "Palin or Bachmann" in the same way.

9. I remember the Miller Lite beer commercial where two girls get into a cat fight in a pool ...
WARNING: this is called the uncensored version for some reason.

8. Remember that she was born in Iowa ...

Michele Bachmann

***snip***

Born Michele Marie Amble in Waterloo, Iowa, "into a family of Norwegian Lutheran Democrats"<8> she and her family moved from Iowa to Minnesota when she was young.<9> After her parents divorced, Bachmann's father, David John Amble, moved to California, and Bachmann was raised by her mother, Jean (née Johnson), who worked at the First National Bank in Anoka, Minnesota.<9><10> Her mother remarried when Bachmann was a teenager; the new marriage resulted in a family with nine children.<11>

What is a Norwegian Lutheran Democrat???

If she doesn't win Iowa, she probably is out of the race.
