Family says she was vibrant, excited about life, and she was the "best daughter in the world."

Born on September 11, 2001, Greene was excited about the political process, was on the student government, and went to the Giffords event today to learn more about the political process, family members say.

The DISPASSIONATE LOGIC of LAW will prevail, as it always does, in some form, but in the meantime, DAMN it's hard to believe that the things that led to this and the Hatemongers responsible will wake up tomorrow, spit out some platitudes about how violence isn't the answer, how THEY are in NO WAY responsible for the actions of this person, and then wake up 2 days from now and start in again with the same level of hate and vitriol AGAIN, content that what they said for 5 minutes yesterday absolves an entire careers-worth of bullshit and hate and idiocy.

As for the slain victims of this act, I wish them Godspeed, as for the injured, I offer a prayer for recovery, and as for the rest of us, well fuck, i don't know what to say, anyone else here can feel free to finish this for me, I don't have the words.......

18. I understand all too well.....

....still waiting for the trial of the murderer of my nephew after a year and a half....he's been bonded out of jail and allowed to discontinue wearing an ankle monitor because it was too much of a financial burden to him...I've grappled with revenge a lot.

This girl's death brings it all back and wrenches the shattered pieces of my heart. :evilfrown:
