Who is the primary adviser to this President? |
|
Is it William Daley? Is it Timothy Geithner? Is it the Clintons? Is it Michelle Obama? Just who has the ear of this President?
Obviously, he decides what he wants to say and what he wants to believe, no matter who is advising him. However, I do not think he has been well-served in this debate or others. The primary goal of Mitch McConnell and most Repubs is to defeat Barack Obama in the next election and they have said as much. They are really not into "bi-partisanship" or working on the problems.
Just my opinion, but I think he would be better served if he had a couple of out-spoken progressives in his Cabinet. He is not utilizing all of his options. Democrats would prefer that he fight the Repubs rather than compromising away everything they have. I think this would be a good time for a shake up in the Executive Branch?

he is the smartest man in the room in his own mind...it doesn't take brains to capitulate...
he needs to learn how to negotiate and not give away the farm.
even though he has disappointed me the alternative was frightening....still is!
