Obama talks about the Democrats as if they're somebody else
He doesn't talk about the Democrats as if he's one of us.

2. He is not.
During the primary I told several people he was to the right of Richard Nixon. It made some mad and a few quit talking to me. They have all apologized.

10. Republicans, obviously
since he is on board with every Republican ideal. He's scared that somebody might suggest a tax cut on the 1% that own 35%, and that's unacceptable to President Obama. It's far better to yank the food out of the mouths of the 90%, since they don't matter.

24. How will deficits be lowered but by cuts
I want to see tax raising charged for hard, instead of cutting services to elderly people, who have been highlighted as on the chopping block.

All I see is "sacrifice" and "I'm not raising taxes on anyone".

How will any of that get paid for if not by cutting?

32. You keep saying "I'm not raising taxes" but Obama begs to differ:
Obama: Raise taxes on the wealthy
resident Barack Obama coupled a call for $4 trillion in long-term deficit reductions with a blistering attack on Republican plans for taxes, Medicare and Medicaid on Wednesday, laying down markers for a roiling debate in Congress and the 2012 presidential campaign to come.

Obama's speech was salted with calls for bipartisanship, but it also bristled with attacks on Republicans. They want to "end Medicare as we know it," he said, and to extend tax cuts for the wealthy while demanding that seniors pay more for health care.

"That's not right, and it's not going to happen as long as I am president," he vowed. Medicare serves 47 million seniors and disabled people.

Obama: Cut Spending, Raise Taxes on the Wealthy
http://www.aolnews.com/2011/04/13/obama-cut-spending-raise-taxes-on-the-wealthy/

President Barack Obama called for cutting taxes on the middle class while raising taxes on the wealthy - whom he referred to as "jet owners" - as a means of raising revenue and paying down debt.

13. He does not fight for us...
...he speaks about the people in his party--as children that he needs to tread lightly around
and please with the utmost of tender and delicate moves.

Maybe that's why he used the rhetoric, "Time for us to eat our peas".

Obama has done this before. Remember, during the healthcare legislation speeches? We were told that
we don't always get everything--as if Democrats were a bunch of spoiled brats in their fleece, footie
pajamas--pouting around the Christmas tree because we didn't get a Wii.

No, Mr. President--we just didn't like that the health-insurance industry WROTE the healthcare legislation
and that nothing but a few crumbs of reform were thrown into a ring that left big insurance and their
profit-centric model in place. Now that health-insurance costs are up 26 percent for most Americans
and health-insurance companies profits are skyrocketing--it's obvious we were not spoiled children. Just
Americans who are sick of the corporations screwing us over through corrupt politicians.

Don't mind us again--as you don't raise taxes on the millionaires and billionaires and instead cut
Social Security. We'll be "eating our peas" over at the card table--which is where you've relegated
your entire base to, while you dine at the big-people table with the lobbyists, neocons and Koch Brothers.

I can understand how on the surface that frustrates and angers people.

I've been reading everything I can get my hands on regarding the current negotiations and have no clue what he's up to. I figure he's got some grand strategy that we're not privy to going on and I'm not subjecting myself to the E ticket ride of reacting to every bit of hysterical speculation that floats by.

If push comes to shove, I expect Congressional Dems to vote Hell No! on anything that doesn't preserve the social safety net including Medicaid, Social Security, and Medicare. If Democrats can hang together, that's the backstop. Easy peasy.
