4. If the general election were held tomorrow I would gladly vote for the Democratic nominee
I'm thinking it's about 99% Obama and I'll even go out and campaign for Obama in the fall elections. But I want to be on record stating that I am a democrat and if someone should challenge Obama in the primaries and win - I would be out there working hard to make sure he/she was elected.

I'm about 75% for voting for Obama in the primaries - I'll consider my options but that's what the primaries are for.

26. I'd vote for Obama.
Knowing that if Bachmann won instead, we'd get the Ryan plan and more tax cuts for the rich instead.

It's a relative comparison.

34. Uhh... Obama has extended tax cuts for rich and is now also willing to "trim" medicare... just FYI
Ryan plan calls for voucherizing medicare, Obama negotiations call for "trimming" medicare.

Bachman would push for tax cuts for the rich, Obama has already extended tax cuts for the rich once and may (for all we know) be willing to do so again in the current negotiations.

It is indeed a "relative comparison". Specifically, it's an "=" relationship.

Maybe you should settle for pointing out that Obama has a better-shaped head and less of the spooky-cosmetic-surgery look, and base your vote on that?

But an analysis that conflates Obama's language on entitlement reform with the Ryan Plan is not one sufficiently serious to bother contesting.

Soon the political debate will be which ships to name for Reagan, how big a felony it is to comply with corporate dictates, and whether Walmart brand public schools should teach things like biology, world civilization, and literature or just get them ready to stock and run the register.

56. Aren't you the lucky one!! This is going to kill our chances of getting rid of one of our worst
Representatives from the House next year.
He has consistently went from being a reasonable, moderate Republican to a flaming, grenade throwing, corporate fascist in the last 10 years.
He used to buck the House trend once in awhile, only voting with the GOP party apparatchiks about 80% of the time, showing he had some remnants of an active brain stem left in his head.
But, Tom Delay had that removed, so he now votes with the Republicans 96% of the time.
He marches in lockstep with them, now.
Sometimes he is even out front, carrying their banner.
