Fuck the whiny rich and their imaginary problems
I am so sick and fucking tired hearing repukes, conservatives, and teabaggers whining about how we can't raise taxes on the rich.

Taxes on the rich are at their lowest level in decades!

If tax cuts create jobs, then where are the damned jobs created by the Bush tax cuts?

How is it that our economy boomed under the Eisenhower tax rates?

Every time I hear some repuke talk about not taxing the rich, makes me want to ram my fist through a concrete wall.

5. The only problem with the mantra
is that it consists of words not actions.

He's shown that once he's elected, he'll do exactly the opposite of what he campaigned on.

23. Exactly.

And there lies the problem, neither party represents working people, propaganda to the contrary. Both parties are fully supportive of Capitalism, the only difference is the amounts of carrot and stick and that difference is shrinking.

8. I feel sorry for them
Maybe we can get another bailout for bankers and the wall street crews. You know to ease their suffering. Anything to help their bonus and golden parachutes. Perhaps we can find a way for them to offshore and outsource more jobs. If not perhaps we can help them import slave labor from china, for the things they can't offshore.

33. Not only are they not creating jobs, but the statement itself isn't true in the first place.
DEMAND creates jobs. Poor/middle/working people with collective amounts of money (which they have to spend every cent of, BTW) creates jobs. Lower the "job creator's" (snicker) taxes to zero: They aren't going to hire unless there are customers coming through the door!!!

20. If Republicans Love Reagan So Much....................
Edited on Tue Jul-12-11 09:41 AM by ChoppinBroccoli
..................why don't we all agree to return the top tax rate back to what is was under Reagan*. How could they POSSIBLY be against THAT?

I suggest you try this on all the Reagan-loving conservatives you know. First you set them up by getting them to talk about what a genius Reagan was, and about how every decision he ever made was right, and about he was the greatest President in the history of this country, and about how he produced a booming economy, etc., etc., etc. Just them go on and on and on about it. Then hit them with the bombshell. Suggest that since Reagan was such a genius, and that he produced such a great economy, and all that stuff, that we return the tax rates to what they were under Reagan*. Then sit back and watch the mental gymnastics begin.

*FYI--in case you weren't aware, the top marginal tax rate under Reagan was 50%.

26. I heard some idiotic Republican representative interviewed on MSNBC today.
He was asked if the Republicans would compromise by increasing taxes on the rich. He dodged the question (sort of) by saying the wealthiest 25% already pay 80% of U.S. tax revenues and then added some kind of statement that only 50% of Americans even pay taxes at all. So I have to ask. From which side of his ass did he grab those numbers?

On a side note, I got to see this unchallenged comment (anchor merely thanked the puke for his time and segued to another story) on MSNBC when I asked the doctor's receptionist if she would please put the television (which was blaring Faux News Channel) on a news station. When she said, "oh, it's on Fox News," an elderly gentleman turned around and grumbled "the lady asked for news, not this crap, give her the remote."

38. The rich just keep taking from the average person, what people need to do is take to the streets!
Nothing we say will change this and little we do will. The only solution is to take to the streets because that is what they fear most. We must take action before there is nothing left to save!
