parallel. The scariest part is that nobody seems to be able to do anything about either one.
Not to mention unrest in Europe and the Middle East an we have the makings of another Global Nightmare©.

The 1936 North American heat wave was the most severe heat wave in the modern history of North America. It took place in the middle of the Great Depression of the 1930s, and caused catastrophic human suffering and an enormous economic toll.

... Obama is too much Hoover and not enough FDR. But wait, it gets even scarier. If Obama is Hoover, when he loses in 2012, then we get FDR, right? Wrong. We get something EVEN WORSE!

If history repeats, then it's going to get a whole lot worse, for years to come, before it gets any better.

Still clicking my heels together hoping Obama is gonna morph into Truman. I'll even don a wig, dress, and ruby slippers, if I have to, to make it happen.
