How does one go about finding the names of local service members? My volunteer
group was thinking of sending care packages and was wondering how to find names of some local service members. Is there a phone number, web site, link, anything? Thanks in advance.

3. Usually a local American Legion or VFW can help.
See if there are any local posts in your area.

5. Look up the nearest recruiter or base public affairs office in the phone book....
they can get you started or point you in the right direction.

7. VFW, Soldiers Angels, or your local Boy Scout troop...
They often have a lead on them...

Also, you can call your local NG center and ask what their procedures are for acceptance of care packages. I wouldn't call to ask for names and numbers as that might get a visit from someone with a badge....
