1. It's right up there with Christian science, homeopathy, acupuncture, etc.

Of course it's outrageous, and anyone who isn't outraged by it is unlikely to see it as a reason not to vote for Bachmann.

I already have plenty of reasons to oppose her. This is just a sideshow to me. I figured out that she was a kook a long time ago.

3. This was on the Toady Show?

Has Michele Bachmann authorized this? If not, why is NBC not just taking what she provides at face value and blorting it out over the airwaves? This looks suspiciously like journalism.

4. I'm sure Bachmann loves that it's on the Today Show

She's never going to be President. She's appealing to the far right (or more accurately to their wallets) who think this kind of idiocy is great. There is no "move to the middle" for someone like Bachmann, she's looking for dollars not general election votes.

5. I agree with counsel for the defense

Any publicity is good, especially when it's free. From her POV it will get the attention of potential supporters who weren't aware of how severe her positions are on LGBT-related issues. It will solidify some peoples' backing.

But it won't be anywhere near enough to win a national election.
