I guess I'll just stick to laws here in the US, and not go to any bullfights when I visit countries where it goes on, just like I've always done.

(VZ, Peru, Columbia, a couple of others) and in southern France, too, where it's a "grandfathered" sport in areas where they've done it for centuries.

I haven't been to a bullfight in almost half a century; last time I went to one, I was rooting for the bull!

It's just that they can do nothing about it, since they're not part of those cultures.

Lots of stuff is bad. We can only do something about the stuff here, not in other countries and cultures.

I'm sure there's some international organization that is against bullfighting. People could donate to that if that makes them feel better. Then they can enjoy their burger or their steak with a clear conscience.

meat from the bull went to feed the 'huerfanos'--the orphans.

Nowadays, I don't think there are many, if any, orphanages left. I suppose the meat goes to some other charitable entity.
