Almost as an aside, I think it is impossible to say that media did NOT have some effect on... |
|
...the shooter's behavior. Because we live in a world rich with content. And we get almost complete choice over what we feed ourselves when it comes to media. There are many things which are "problematic" in regards to this but maybe the foremost of them is that if even the majority of mentally "well" Americans don't make healthy decisions about what they feed their minds (when it comes to media), should we be surprised when people with flawed ideas and personalities feed those aberrations until they become monstrous?
We should be more aware of what we choose to feed our own minds when it comes to media because it affects us more than we think.

1. The media enjoyed giving The Tea Party a soapbox to stand on, |
|
because the thought they were entertaining. Unfortunately, they're also dangerous.
