hear talk that the President had on the table to increase the age to 67.

Some folks imply that is a brillant strategy which called the republican bluff. I have different words for it, and none of them are very nice or complementary about this President or administration if he actually proposed that.

"House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has insisted throughout the debt ceiling debate that her caucus would oppose any proposal that included benefit cuts to Medicare and Social Security recipients. On Monday, The Huffington Post reported that Obama's deal would have done just that, raising the Medicare eligibility age from 65 to 67."

If this administration actually proposed that, why should I support him? By doing this he is attacking my child, and there are consequences for that as far as I am concerned

1. Yeah but then the administration will say it's OK because of the health "insurance reform" bill
since everyone will be forced to buy insurance and presumably insurers will be forced to write them a policy.

8. To even offer this as a strategy to win other concessions is revealing ...
and not in a good way.

Why are the "Dems" even considering this idea!

This morning I saw Congressman Andrews (D- NJ) on CNBC say he was in favor of raising the Medicare age if it were part of a "global agreement..."

Video and transcript...

"...yesterday it's reported he (Obama) talked about raising the medicare retirement age to 67 for certain workers. do you support that? he's also talked about raising taxes on the top two tax brackets. i would support him in that effort if it were part of a global agreement..."
