5. The whole debt limit thing is stupid...

...because we all know we're not going to pay it back the principle anyhow. We need only make the minimum monthly payments like everyone else does. You can cut spending, add spending, add taxes, remove taxes and it all means nothing in relation to the debt ceiling as long as the lenders get that check every month. Blow the whole debt out to $500 trillion and cut taxes to the point where we make just enough to make the payments. Finance all of our programs from Medicare to Military as long at we can hit that monthly payment. Heck, we borrow money from other countries to loan to other countries as "aid". Lenders care only about one's ability to make interest payments indefinitely. It's stupid and just making it harder for everyone to get along with their neighbors.
