14 million (official) job seekers and 3 million job openings.
And in DC there is only a sad session of mutual political masturbation and Financial Crisis Theater.

I have said it before and I will say it again: Not one of us matters. We are, each one of us, completely on our own.

2. Then perhaps, it starts with us, here.
The whole game is played upon some form of mutual agreement to nothing more than ideas. Those ideas become codified and are then recorded in documents as rules, regulations, laws, etc. They do rely on a consensus that forms the reality.

Here we are, in a situation where many of us can clearly see what looks like a deal breaker.

Why not, at the very least, consider ourselves as Sovereigns? That too, is an idea. To some, that may seem ineffectual and impractical, but as an idea it holds some merit if we are now, or will be, "on our own".

3. A century ago, Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle" described flooding the job market
so that job-seekers would be desperate and could be treated like slaves.

Our "leaders" aren't failing us, they are deliberately betraying and enslaving us.

It's been their aim all along.

Brought to you by your friends and neighbors who "tend to vote their portfolio."

5. So... you only have a 21.4% chance of getting a job
That's pretty bad.

7. And if we raise taxes on them the "job creators" will create even fewer jobs.
:sarcasm:

6. My husband joined the 14 million today.
We're trying to figure it all out. It came out of the blue. He gets the best performance reviews, top awards. He's out. But hey, the company stock is doing great and that's all that matters, right?
