Protesters at a Gateway Technical College centennial event Tuesday afternoon, July 12, 2011, shout "Shame" and "Recall Walker," drowning out the governor during his speech at the event.

5. I saw a friend from elementary school in the background.

(We keep in touch still on facebook.) She's always hated Walker and didn't vote for him when he ran. (She'd heard horror stories from relatives who worked for Milwaukee.)

Now I've got to post on her page that I saw her!

Walker has taken over her top spot on her Top Ten Most Hated, since she's a state employee. He beat her exhusband to win that number one spot. I knew she'd be there to yell for a bit.

This is just a few blocks from my apartment. I had to work today while the event was going on, but I did see some photos of teachers and other undesirables dressed in "Union Thug" shirts...beautiful.

Pretty bold that Walker saw fit to appear at the centennial celebration of a technical college after cutting state funding for technical colleges back to 1980s levels. What the hell did he expect?
