Ruh roh - Miller-Coors can't sell alcohol in Minnesota now!
Edited on Tue Jul-12-11 11:09 PM by Arger68
Apparently due to the shutdown they can't renew their brand license which is expired. Methinks the shutdown will be ending soon if we can't get our booze!!

1. A sober Minnesota?
That's half the fun right there. Take away bratwurst and fishing and the entire state will riot.

4. Hello from a former Lake Mills resident. I guess the LM folks
will have to share their beer and liquor for awhile.

3. Minnesota's not missing much.
Maybe residents can try some real beer for a change, not the homeopathic swill that Miller-Coors calls beer.

5. We're boycotting all their brands here in Wisconsin. They
were Walker backers.

That's OK, everyone can switch to something local instead!

9. You have good local beer in Wisconsin, lots of small
breweries. You don't need that swill, even when you are not boycotting.

14.  I know!!! (see me smiling?)
Course, Walker is trying to screw the small brewers too.

That man is going DOWN. Mess with Wisconsin's beer? What a DOPE.

6. Try some Brau Brothers beers
from Lucan, MN. Just started coming to me here in Iowa. Small family brewery, incredibly good beers. Fuck the big macro-breweries. I don't buy any BMC beers.

7. $30 to register each brand for 3 years?
Hell, the paper work has to cost more than that. Why bother. If I was Miller-Coors I'd ignore the license, how much could the fine possibly be?

8. It won't be anything
Seeing as how all the alcohol control board agents that could renew their license are on furlough, so are all the enforcement agents.

12. Drink Grain Belt Premium
Brewed in New Ulm by a Minnesota company and it's still as good as it was back in the old days. Nothing better on a hot and humid day in Minny than an ice cold Belt Premo.
