10. I think all of you wonderful DUers just arent 'getting it'

Some DUers cant watch videos, so they requested a synopsis ....

A short summary that would provide the minimum information for explaining the story with the least amount of intrusion of your time ...

11. Keith tells the story of being fired by Fox for reporting

that Murodoch wanted to sell the Dodgers, even though he had done due diligence and notified NewsCorp that the tip had fallen into his lap. They fired him anyway -- Murdoch personally made the decision.

Two years after Keith reported that story, Murdoch sold the Dodgers.

In June of 2000, Keith got sick and his doc told him to slow down or he was at risk for heart disease. So, Fox took him off the air until Keith could produce a letter from his doctor saying he was healthy enough to work. Keith said, I didn't know what they were going to do with that letter. "They blackmailed me."

So, Fox Sports told Keith that since he was good to go, they were going to change his schedule, and instead of having him in one place for six nights, they were going to fly him all over the place for four nights, essentially working him into illness. The alternative was for him to take a reduced schedule and a 60% pay cut. And they wanted an answer over night.

He took the deal, he had no choice.

So, his point is, you report a story in good faith, you get fired. You tell the truth about O'Reilly, you get sued. You tell the truth about your own health, you get blackmailed.

And then Keith says, that's the way it is when it's only one or two decent people against Murdoch. But now there may be a tidal wave of whistleblowers and when they're done, there will be nothing left.
