4. many women getting plastic surgery are un/underemployed
who are being discriminated against due to their age (or the appearance of it).

As a feminist, socialist, and aging underemployed person, I'm the first to say the whole situation sucks in many different ways, but the majority of plastic surgery recipients aren't pampered wives of billionaires.

5. That's not a good excuse, in my opinion.
I'm not a hater of cosmetic enhancement, but it is relatively trivial when compared to medical necessities.
Exercise, good nutrition, and beauty sleep go a long way toward preserving your looks. I'm not a stranger to vanity, and I'm considering getting cosmetic dentistry myself, some time in the future. However, surgery should be a last resort, IMHO. It's a symptom of our screwed up society.

In any case, regular exercise, 8 hrs sleep per night, diet, fruits and vegetables, and drinking water do a lot to prevent the need for cosmetic enhancement.

8. It's been misrepresented a bit
It was intended to allow tax credits for necessary plastic surgery. For example, someone gets into a car wreck. Their insurance will pay for the medical treatment, but what if they are left with deformities? Most insurance companies will not spring for that. Their view is "if you can, eat, see, and smell, your face works." The tax credit was intended to allow these people to write off the expenses to get back to normal, but I'm sure it has been abused.

9. Thanks for that.
I am not informed about this particular bit of legislation. In that case, I could see the benefit.
