Poll question: Do you believe that Murdoch's U.S. Media Holdings, ie Fox News are using the same M.O.
of hacking citizens' and political leaders' phones possibly for the purpose of blackmail or bribing police as has apparently happened in Great Britain?

London (CNN) -- Rupert Murdoch's media empire suffered a double blow Wednesday as Prime Minister David Cameron launched a wide-ranging investigation into the British press and Murdoch's News Corp. withdrew a bid to take over British satellite broadcaster BSkyB.

The moves come in the wake of public and political fury at allegations that journalists working for Murdoch illegally eavesdropped on phone messages of thousands of people and bribed police.

That way when they're found they can grass on all the politicians they've got under wraps.

7. Did you see Keith Olbermann's comment on this issue
Edited on Wed Jul-13-11 01:46 PM by Hutzpa
on how they blackmailed him into to giving up 60% of his salary and then
asked him to work more hours?

I believe strongly there are politicians who have fallen into the same
category as KO, they are being blackmailed for worse than what Keith got
blackmailed for, it is the mafia media mentality.

Sometimes you have to wonder why would a politician vote the other way
when all the odds are against the vote, hell it could be the same virus that
has engulfed the Supreme Court Justices as you can see how they are
churning our Laws that don't make sense.

On Edit
Which Newspaper was first to break the Elliot Spitzer sex scandal? maybe someone
will correct me, but wasn't it New York Post the first to break the story?

I'm sure a little research will prove that, just too tired to do that now, but someone
else should.

10. I have felt blackmail was rampant for a long time.
Gone so far as to imagine a party hosted for all of our freshman elected officials in DC. They show up in the big city all full of themselves and the next thing ya know there's a photo of someone's dick in a donkey. Maybe some dust on the nose! Now how did that happen? Long story short, doesn't matter, the photo goes in the file and they have control of the Reps.....forever.

12. Easy to say that I believe; but beliefs are of no use on this.
What we need is what Menendez has already asked for -- an investigation.

13. On the other hand, a strong enough belief can serve as motivation to investigate.

When you're on the offense, stay on the offense, whether it's Sen. Menendez, Lautenberg or Rockerfeller, our collective voices aid and give strength to their calls for action.

That's why people participate in surveys, write letters to the editor, call in to news programs, blog and post on discussion forums and even vote.
