White House's Carney: Obama Wants 'Balanced' $4T Deficit Deal

By John Shaw

WASHINGTON (MNI) - White House press secretary Jay Carney said Wednesday that President Obama is still pressing for an ambitious deficit reduction agreement, arguing that "$4 trillion in a balanced way would be the best possible outcome."

At a briefing, Carney said the president still believes a "significantly sized deal" of between $3 trillion and $4 trillion in deficit reduction is possible.

"It's an opportunity for a game changer," he said of large deficit reduction package, adding that "bigger is better."

Carney repeated several times that "there is no alternative" to passing an increase in the statutory debt ceiling in a timely way.

3. Obama has to sound serious... he know the GOP will *NEVER* agree to any deal with him

So he can continue to talk about the Grand Bargain and get independents on his side.

The end game is the McConnell proposal. Everything else is just rhetoric leading up to that.

7. For decades,
wealth-sucking assclowns have been "managing" our collective funds. They ALL screw it up, or should I say, direct it to their own benefit at large, and we will be paying the bill from here on in.

That is, while said assclowns continue to play ridiculous games that make things appear to be some sort of strange movie script of negotiations and battle. The bemused and confused public gapes and squints, and some read between the lines.

"We got ours, now you get AUSTERITY! Deal with it, useless eaters!"

9. This deal will not solve any problems.
It is just a big show. It hurts seniors and a lot of other people who are vulnerable. D.C. just got itself dirtier than ever.
