Eric Harris' (Columbine) parents never talked why their sicko son went on a rampage. There may also be a civil liability since he apparently lived at home. In my area homeowner's insurance had to pay up when a 30+ year old nutcase who lived with his parents went on a racially motivated killing spree.

As evil as his act has been, this must be devastating for any parent. Parents are supposed to love and support their kids unconditionally, but they could never condone his acts.
Their lives have been torn apart and anyone who is a parent must recognize that their lives will never be the same again.
