Bronze age Mutant Ninja Turtle now wants to abolish elections.

The Tea Party Terrorists really have taken over the GOP.

Not content with showing that they can do "second amendment solutions" or threaten to bring down the World economy because they can, (again), the Bronze age Mutant Ninja Turtle who leads Republicants in the Senate now believes Americans are far too stupid for "gimmicks" such as elections.

The time has come for a balanced budget amendment that forces Washington to balance its books. If these debt negotiations have convinced us of anything, it’s that we can’t leave it to politicians in Washington to make the difficult decisions that they need to get our fiscal house in order. The balanced budget amendment will do that for them. Now is the moment. No more games. No more gimmicks. The Constitution must be amended to keep the government in check. We’ve tried persuasion. We’ve tried negotiations. We’re tried elections. Nothing has worked.

Actually one thing worked. The budgets of President Obama actually reduced the deficit. The budgets of Bill Clinton had a surplus that went in to paying off the national debt. Elections do work if people do not listen to Rupert Murdoch.

2. Yup. 235 years of elections have proved that they just don't work.
Some yell "Treason!" right now.

4. This says it all: "Tea Party Terrorists"
They do not accept elections when they lose. They threaten violence when they lose an election.
This is what the tea party is about. The tea party membership was Bush's greatest cheerleader. They will never the flaws of "their people".
For the tea party, liberals, Democrats, and racial/religious minorities will always be to blame for the ills of the world.
For tea parties, Wall Street and the banks were but victims of "evil" and "conniving" blacks and mexicans (and other fictional boogiemen) who hustled their way into
receiving mortgages they could never afford. The tea party will never accept that most people do NOT understand the complex and deceptive practices of the "free market".
