I have been reading comments
From some of the various websites, like at Sfgate.com, Cbs.com etc. Its amazing how much the other side is pushing this back, acting like they are the victims. I don't believe the vitriol will stop. I don't think hate speech will stop either. People like Glenn Beck, Limbaugh get paid to spew their garbage. They won't cut back either. I don't know if Michael Savage is still on the air, but one can only imagine what outrageous comments he will make.

Those who listen to the hate, the lies are caught up in them, and will never step back from the edge. I don't know what the solution will be.. but I think we are in it for the long haul, and things may get worse before better.

This saddens me greatly..

1. They are --entirely - blind to themselves. And nothing, really, will ever open their eyes.
none of which bodes well for the country, actually...

2. They should be celebrating

as this tragedy is what their BS movement is all about.

Hopefully the right wing attempt to pretend they don't advocate violence will be rejected. They advocate violence but won't admit it because one it tarnishes their holier than thou garbage and two they don't believe they should be held accountable for their conduct.

beliefs of the right wing. They advocate violence. They are pro torture. Yet they tell us they are more moral and patriotic than everyone else.

"When contemplating college liberals, you really regret once again that John Walker is not getting the death penalty. We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed, too. Otherwise, they will turn out to be outright traitors."

Ann Coulter, February 26, 2002

Vester: You say you'd rather not talk to liberals at all?
Coulter: I think a baseball bat is the most effective way these days.

6. I can't stand to read comments on other sites, these days.
And that includes most newspapers, Yahoo, YouTube, etc. The comments are so incredibly ignorant and mean spirited that it boggles the mind. x( But I guess I have been spoiled after reading DU for eight years... :D

11. They really do believe they are the victims.
That's the really sick part.

Don't forget that Limbaugh, Beck et al spew the garbage they do because that is what their audiences want to hear. I promise you, if any of them were to get on the air on Monday and say, "Look, folks, the demonization of the other side has got to stop. We all need to step back and think about the things we're saying, and stop using such inflammatory language." they'd instantly lose most of their listeners.

12. yup, absolutely right
the republicans don't care. they're dancing on the graves of the dead as we speak.

the only thing they care about is getting caught. they are liars and criminals.

rather than be like, "hey ok this has gone too far. we immediately call for all hate speech to stop and people to respect each other" they're all out they're like, "well both sides do it" or "well if you didn't take our freedoms away..."

this is a war and the opening shots were fired today.

13. Yes and no
Elected republican officials are running away from this as fast as they can. Even nutcases like Palin realize the big steaming pile of shit this situation has dumped on their doorstep by further alienating moderate and independent voters.

Unfortunately, the mom's-basement-dwelling, cheeto-stained-hands, hate radio addicted dildoheads won't change. And they will be encouraged by their bazillionaire puppet masters to do more of the same.

And the worst part is the cowardly liberal media will continue to spout the "both sides are equally guilty" bullshit, because they are scared shitless of the loonies.

14. I'm not sure their minds are changeable
I believe you are correct, they will victimize themselves and persecuted and only get worse. Sorry to be so negative, but that's how I feel.
