What the Headline SHOULD read: REPUBLICANS DOWNGRADE USA
Of course, we'll never see THAT as a headline except maybe on Raw Story, but that's what we're heading
for, that's who's going to be responsible for it, and that's what the headlines SHOULD be be screaming.

Moody's Investors Service said it has put the Aaa credit rating of the U.S. government on review for a possible downgrade given the possibility the debt limit will not be raised before an approaching August deadline. It comes two weeks after Standard & Poor's said that any failure to make debt payments would result in a dramatic downgrade of the United States's current top-notch credit rating.

1. Absolutely right, my dear DFW!
But since our MSM is owned by the corporate world, there's no chance in hell that those headlines will ever be seen here.

Recommended.

2. Maybe not back home, but over here, it's a different story
It's making front page headlines in newspapers in Germany, Belgium, England and France.

Obama is being carefully watched, and Europe likes what it sees. To Republicans, Europe
may be just a bunch of "furriners" with a few basket cases among the euro economies (true
enough, as Greece, Ireland and Portugal are basket cases, and Spain isn't far behind).
However, Europe also includes the world's second-largest exporter (Germany) and France,
who despite a cumbersome bureaucracy is humming along, too. There is a large amount of
the world's financial clout over here, and they are ALL watching. Obama is right as rain
on this issue, and all the level heads in the financial capitals of Europe know it.
