If Obama pushes for a 4 trillion dollar debt limit deal and the GOP scuttle it does the GOP lose |

7. yes, but av8rdave turned it into a sweet pun.... |
|
lose, loose-- it's a common mistake and I'm sure everyone knows what you meant-- but Dave's pun was just too good not to comment on! No offense intended to you!

and the obvious civil war within the GOP party. I wouldn't be surprise to see Yertle the Turtle pleads with Obama to do the 14th amendment. We are in crisis, these people are NUTZ.
They lost it already when they lost control of their party. Cantor's actions are becoming crystal clear.

8. If Obama pushes for a 4 trillion dollar debt limit deal, does he implicitly endorse |
|
the claim that spending cuts are the solution, rather than spending? I think so.
This cuts both ways. A Democratic president who adopts the right-wing economic philosophy is undermining the left in a very broad, profound way.

10. The President has lost too much credibility here, unfortunately. |
|
The deficit is an effect of the weak economy, not the cause. The President has done very little on jobs and now he is pushing for spending cuts, which are economically the same as tax increases. He's pushing to "trim" entitlements in order to net $1 Trillion after his administration provided $13 Trillion in Wall Street bailouts. His supporters had better hope the GOP scuttles any significant deal or he's going to be running for re-election in the midst of a very bad downturn.
