http://mediamatters.org/action/newscorphearings1/?source=ckg.rm.ad3

If y'all have a moment to kill, I invite you to sign a petition at Media Matters to call for an immediate investigation over Phone Hacking in the US.

I'd appreciate a K or and R to keep this up top so lots of people have a chance to sign.

:0) You know my fellow DUers...we may see the end of Rupert Murdoch's influence on the media sooner rather than later. :0) That will be a beautiful day!

1. Done.
I especially like the idea of examining their financial records to see where bribe money came from. Tee hee.

2. I Was Pondering Today Why An Investigation Into Murdoch Here In The U.S. Is Getting Bipartisan .....
support. Then I had this thought that maybe Murdoch was hacking phones of Members of Congress and perhaps even blackmailing some of them. If that was happening - it would be hard for them to out Murdoch and his tactics. But now that this thing was blown wide open in the UK - our Members of Congress see an opportunity to end it. They are kinda piling on in a moment of weakness to provide a final blow to Murdoch and get out of his clutches. Just my theory. No facts to back it up. Just a hunch.

3. Everyone is ganging on in England
Murdoch's papers were hacking everyone and felt like they were in control of politics... they hacked the right, left and middle and now the right, left and middle are taking their opportunity to go at Murdoch. We'll see if it lasts but I think England is going to take this opportunity to cut out a cancer and get rid of much of murdoch's holdings. Or, more likely, he'll have to resign.
