Manchin only Democratic senator to get money from conservative Koch brothers
Edited on Thu Jul-14-11 06:09 AM by Adenoid_Hynkel
Passing on apologies from my home state for this guy. Many of us think he's a pitiful replacement for the great Robert C. Byrd

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Koch Industries, a giant in the oil and gas industry, typically supports conservative Republican candidates running for seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., is an exception to that rule.

Brothers Charles and David Koch have also given tens of millions of dollars to finance right-wing political organizations, including tea party groups. Last year, "Forbes" magazine ranked the brothers fourth and fifth on its list of the richest Americans.

Since January, the Koch Industries Political Action Committee gave $214,000 to individual Republican candidates and another $45,000 to three national Republican political committees, according to an article by Kathleen Ronayne published Friday on OpenSecrets.org, the website of the Center for Responsive Politics, based in Washington, D.C.

3. That should be "Democrat." He's one of those Zell Miller-type "Democrats."
Which is basically a Republican.

I guess we should be thankful that there is a "D" at the end of his name.

4. Another republiCON
morning joe and company say over and over again that manchin and ben nelson should be the ones leading negotiations for the Democrats.

This is the problem right now, republiCONS pretending to be Dems are doing all of the negotiations.

There should be protestors following all of these mfkers around Washington everyday, these people no nothing about real people.

They really want us to believe that the teabaggers represent America but soon and very soon they will be finding out who the real America is..
