The republicans have too many "Masters."
Tea party people insist that they do not raise the debt ceiling.
Thomas Donahue, the President of the Chamber of Commerce. tells them to raise the debt ceiling or they will be primarried in the next el...ection.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce President to Teapublicans: Raise Debt Ceiling or "We'll get rid of you"
http://www.bluevirginia.us/diary/4119/us-chamber-of-commerce-president-to-teapublicans-raise-debt-ceiling-or-well-get-rid-of-youThe majority of republicans signed Grover Norquist pledge not to raise taxes.. According to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, making all of the Bush tax cuts permanent, would cost the federal government $680 billion in revenue over the next 10 years. If you break this promise, Mr. Norquist will not support you in the 2012 election.
Which one of their Masters will win out. Too bad the Republicans don't have a mind of their own. They are supposed to represent all the people in their districts. 81 % of the people think the rich should pay their fair share of taxes.
We need people in the Congress and Senate who will do what is best for the country, not political hacks who care more about their party than the Country.
