FUCK YOU Jane Hamsher you lying POS!
You gotta feel sorry for the guy (President Obama). His most ardent supporters are the dumbest motherfuckers in the world, and they don’t realize he thinks they are digging his political grave.

Jane you lying moronic sack of republican excrement. You should go back to covering the punk rock world which was the pinnacle of your intellectual accomplishments. Getting paid by the GOP to pose as a liberal to take down President Obama and the Democratic party is too horrible an act for words. Remember Jane it doesn't take brains to lie and pretend to be something you're not. All it takes is a lack of morals, scruples and honor.

Edited on Thu Jul-14-11 02:48 PM by sabrina 1
restoring Republicans to positions of power after the people threw them out?

Should all Democrats who run businesses refuse to take customers who are Republicans? Do they? Or just Hamsher?

Should we have Democratic Businesses and Republican Businesses whereby no one can buy products from a business run by an opposing party member?

How would that work? Do you ever buy anything or watch movies eg, with the Disney label on it? If so, please stop!

Well, if you believe what you accuse of Hamsher of.

This is so silly. Attack her on the policies she espouses, but this kind of feeble nonsense won't convince anyone that she is the most evil person on the planet, sorry.

59. How about, supposed liberal activists don't work professionally to elect Republican candidates?
This isn't exactly rocket science, and it's not a case of some vague, tenuous connection. It's very simple: Hamsher claims to be some left-wing icon while actively and directly working to elect Republicans.

74. Can you provide something other than your opinion to demonstrate
how she works directly to get Republicans elected? As I understand it she does not, she has a tangential relationship, through an ad business, to people running for office. Like Google Ads, here and on other Progressive boards. I remember, eg, people on Daily Kos complaining about the ads promoting Republicans on their blog and they were told it was 'business not personal' and that we were 'taking their money' so we should not be concerned about it.

But is she's out there campaigning personally, that would be a different story. If you can demonstrate why you are making this charge it would be appreciated.

62. I see advertising all the time here trying to elect Republicans. If accepting money from Republicans
is such a big deal, perhaps Skinner should do something about controlling the flow. I know, for a fact, that they can reject ads based on content.

Common Sense Media is an advertising firm appealing to a niche market of political junkies of any and every political stripe.

90. The board administrators can block any ads they want
It's quite simple really. My wife runs multiple sites and blocks ads from Gooogle AdSense all the time. It's not difficult or time consuming if someone really cares to avoid advertising for people/companies they don't agree with. We don't have control over who advertises with Google AdSense, but we can control what ads run on our sites.

Sorry Obamabots is nowhere near close to racial slurs. And frankly the people it applies to and their lockstep obedience in supporting every single word, policy, thought that Obama has, makes it quite the appropriate term, even if they don't like it.

When Republicans supported every single thing Bush did, those same people likely called them Bushbots. (or didn't because there's no telling how many of them are over here doing that now for a President that has supported a lot of the same policies as Bush)

Jane lost it with the loyalists who are so anxious to promote Obama they cheer things they don't even understand and which are completely counter productive.

Which is pretty much what we've seen here for the last week. Telling people none of this negotiation is happening, for example. How is that working out so far? Browbeating people who disagree with them, criticizing people for standing up for Social Security and Medicare.

There is no comparison.

Using your "think" Obama would be far more suspect as a Republican than Hampshire. Instead of attacking liberal spokes persons, why don't you simply cut to the chase and air your grievances with Liberals and Liberalism directly. It would give you and your third-way crew far more credibility.

... so someone calls you a 'dumb m*fer' and you're offended, and calls me a 'dumb m*fer' and I'm not offended ... its because that person's opinion doesn't mean squat to me. Are the words themselves so 'bad'? Nope - it's each person's own internalizing of those words and how they affect their self-image.

In other words, sorry you're pissed off folks, but grow up.

33. Purposefully incendiary. What's new?
Isn't McConnell's deal a short term total bullshit deal? Won't Obama reject it out of hand if it ever does reach his desk? If we celebrate that the GOP appears to be grasping at straws, that doesn't mean that we think McConnell offered a solution.

I think she tries too hard to keep the controversy alive without really saying much of anything. It's okay with me if others disagree with that assessment, but I can disregard her opinion without missing a heartbeat. She's found her niche, which seems to be sowing controversy on DU, mostly. I did click on the link, which would serve Jane's purpose, I think.

I'll acquiesce to other opinions here, because I don't count myself among Obama's "most ardent" supporters. I'll criticize him when I disagree with him and support him when I don't. I guess there is room for a broad spectrum of opinion on the man. He is the President, after all. The GOP would do well to take notice of that little factoid, IMO.

72. Stupid is helping Republicans
That's the stupid thing to do. The leftbaggers keep doing this and then sneering about it like they don't even care. If they really think it makes no difference, they can live with more Scalias and a Congress and President that will REALLY cut Medicaid, etc.

78. I can think of plenty dumber but cheering your star running back juking, spinning, and running

Seems to me, Jane, that that isn't how you go about winning friends.

93. Jane Hamsher's most ardent supporters are the dumbest motherfuckers in the world.
She does, however, appreciate the continued support.
