1. Barely anyone is threatening to not vote for Obama |
|
Withholding cash, sure. But not threatening to sit this one out.
Of course, Obama has shown he doesn't need our money anyway.

3. Urban Dictionary defines Obamabot as |
|
"A person who supports Obama and is willing to vote for him but doesn't know a thing about him." I don't think that represents anyone on DU, so I'm going to Democrat but I am an Obama supporter and will vote for him in 2012.

Been there a few times and there are more Canadian flags than American. At least, that's how it was about 15 years ago. So, so, beautiful. Fell in love with Lake Superior while there.

But heck, Lake Michigan was even gorgeous when we camped next to it. I was blown away. I had no idea it actually had waves at the beach. Next stop will be Superior. Then maybe that big lake in Canada.

But cold as all get-out. My whole family goes there for the week around the 4th of July in a little town called Au Train. The sandstone around the beaches is awesome and its erosion is a great reminder that what Mother Earth giveth, she taketh away. Cool stuff. Enjoy your stay when you get there. :hi:

...but, only because of my love affair with Chicago. Other than that, there's no comparison. The power of Superior is...superior. Sorry, couldn't resist. My first encounter was at White Fish Bay (where the E. Fitzgerald went down). It was just gorgeous.

24. Outside of the Detroit metro area, |
|
much of the state is very red, and especially in the UP. Hell, Jackson calls itself the birthplace of the Republican party, what does that tell you? Eric Prince is from Holland, where Hope University is located. Crazy fundies that wish Detroit would just die off so they could live in their private tea party fantasyland.

I recommend volunteering instead at your local animal shelter. If you're in the Detroit area, come to mine and we can have lunch. http://www.motorcityferrets.org

48. It might seem that it keeps me busy ... |

After all, the "Obama is evil threads" on DU can be endless.
Personally, I find them an enjoyable diversion. I work from home most of the time and so, taking a few minutes to see what the daily DU outrage is, isn't a huge burden for me. Its kind of a low effort hobby.
Each day, I can quickly determine why Obama is evil from the left's point of view ... and then, I can watch 10 minutes of cable news, and find out why Obama is evil from the right wing point of view.
As for volunteering at an animal shelter ... sorry ... very allergic to cats, and most dogs. I can't spend more than a few minutes in any shelter or pet store. I love animals, but sadly, I can't spend much time around them.

I am sick to death of having to vote for the lesser of two evils. In 2008 I actually voted FOR someone instead of against the other candidate. Lotta good that did me.

They do so to demean everyone who voted for him.
No one on the left holds that position ... and those who repeat that meme should join the GOP.

And Obama has disappointed me ----he made SO MANY promises yet the people are left wishing he had worked harder to keep them--- Once in office he became just another politician-----------the economy is tanking--We need to get our manufacturing base back-- China charges around 25% import tax--India around 40%--- LEVEL UP THE FIELD!!! if they want our money allow us to export on an equal basis----
