Koch Industries Backing Bachmann For President
Edited on Thu Jul-14-11 06:35 PM by deminks
With a combined total of $35 million in campaign funds, Republican presidential candidates are still falling behind President Obama’s whopping $86 million fundraising haul, a deficit that no doubt has some campaign managers stressed about their financial futures.

Michele Bachmann, however, need not worry, because the Minnesota Representative is the only declared presidential candidate to have received a fiduciary blessing from the GOP’s current financial kingmakers, Charles and David Koch.

According to Koch Industries’ FEC files, the company’s political action committee has already donated $5,000 to Bachmann’s presidential primary bid, suggesting that pundits, including myself, may be wrong about the Republican’s odds of wooing elite insiders who are jittery over such a radically fundamentalist candidate.

(snip)

In other Koch giving news, the company recently gave the Blue Dog Political Action Committee, a group devoted to electing moderate Democrats, $5,000, bringing their total donations to that organization to $56,000 since 1999, according to the FEC.

4. A Koch Industries semi ran a red light in front of me in the crosswalk this AM,
He decided that when his left turn arrow turned yellow and then red long before he got there, that it was still ok to turn and nearly flatten the little lady in the crosswalk (me).

Just thought I'd add that to the conversation.

7. Traffic rules only apply to the little people like us kestrel and the rich and powerful make up
their own rules. I'm glad that you are ok and that the bastard didn't clip you. I'm sure the Koch Klan Brothers tell their drivers that it's ok to run down people because they have friends in high places, even up to the Supreme Court.

9. I'd like to see a Bachmann and Sharon Angle Crazy Christian Ticket.
Also, since Michelle Bachmann admits that she takes her orders from and submits to her husband, aren't the Koch brothers really supporting Mr. Bachmann for President since Michelle allegedly does everything her husband tells her to do, that Mr. Bachmann claims that God tells him to tell his submissive wife Michelle to do? But if Mr. Bachmann tells his wife what to do based on what God tells him to tell her to do, then wouldn't God really be President if Michelle Bachmann were to win the Presidential election? I don't know.......I'm so confused by these lunatics. Kochs support God for President.
