A progressive group plans to protest outside President Barack Obama's re-election headquarters in Chicago on Friday, warning the president not to agree to any cuts Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security.

Last week, The Washington Post reported that Obama planned to propose cuts to the social programs as part of a deal with Republican lawmakers to increase federal revenue and resolve the debt ceiling fight.
