It just seems so bizarre. I do not think a day goes by without at least one member of congress lying to the American people, apparently without consequence. If they want to hold their showcase hearings, questioning people under oath, they should be held to the same standards. Don't they take an oath when they are sworn in? You would think that oath includes telling the truth.

1. They take an oath to uphold the Constitution, not to tell the truth.
Apparently the two are separate.

4. And they lie under oath, to boot
as evidenced by the trashing of 9 of the 10 amendments in the Bill of Rights.

3. You silly Brits!
Don't you understand that Sports Figures in America represent the morals of our country, and that politicians are like businessmen, and not accountable. :)

5. Unfortunately that is true,
but it is also true over there. However, I think the British sports fans win hands down when it comes to the "Most Hooligans In One Stadium" contest. This is in spite of the fact that many of them are arrested on their way to the game, while vandalizing the trains that brought them and all the businesses in the streets to the stadium. It was that kind of spirit that allowed us to loot and plunder all over the world. (I wish I knew how to post a sarcasm logo)
