FINALLY! Bipartisanship! I keep hearing that "both sides" |
|
need to tone down their rhetoric. Does ANYONE have any clips of Liberal/Progressives putting bullseyes on Republicans? How about calling for harm to anyone?
I don't even advocate killing murderers and child molesters.
Sorry, the disconnect here is nauseating.

2. the MSM fell down on the job on Tea Baggers. |
|
They failed to complain when Sharron talked about 2nd amendment solutions. They kept quiet when Crosshair Sarah painted targets on liberals and democrats. Now, they are trying to make it seem like everybody does it. ergo, it was not their fault for falling asleep on the job.

http://www.azcongresswatch.com/?p=2387I live in (and voted for) Mitchell's district. I winced when that ad ran several years ago.

However, Mitchell was hand-picked by Rahm. DLC? Repub-lite? Regardless, he owes an apology if this is true.
The guy is a scumbag if he indeed did do that.

It got to be too dangerous for him.
I didn't know about his own gunsight ads. It appears he's had experience on both sides of the fence. Ironic.

Edited on Sun Jan-09-11 04:09 PM by ChazII
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqB4tyvxWKANot the best reproduction of a commercial but the only one I could find as proof of my remark. As I said, the ad is an old one. It is hard to see the crosshairs.

We hate them. They have taken away any hope of opposition to corporatism by infecting the former Democratic party.

They are republican lite. However...these are states, not individual people. Slight but important difference.

19. The OP asks for bullseyes |
|
It specifically asks for Liberal/Progressives putting bullseyes on Republicans. Since most people wouldn't classify the DLC as liberal or progressive, I posed a question. I posted this because I think it's noteworthy. You're more than welcome to disagree.

|
putting up - everywhere - about a jillion posters of Limpballs and Hannutty and the others with crosshairs right between their eyes.
That would prove the Left can be bipartisan, too.
Notice that I didn't suggest putting the crosshairs on Orangeman or some of the other Repub douchebags. That's the difference between us and them.

16. Nobody on the left would do that ... |
|
... probably because we understand that if either of these people were assassinated, they would become martyrs for their "cause". They would do quite as much harm dead as they do alive.
I would, however, like to see them off the air, shunned by the media ...
... and in jail.

|
The left does speak of violence, suggesting revolution and such. Maybe not the leaders though. I wouldn't say Kucinich or Grayson go around saying such things. The right has it closer to their mainstream.

24. Is it OK for the left to speak of self defense? |
|
After all, WE'RE the ones who have been gunned down time and time again. When was the last time a RWer was the victim of an assassination or assassination attempt? Reagan? When he was shot by the guy who was said to have Bush Crime Family ties? That's the last one I can think of.
And there IS a difference between making historical analogies (pitchforks and torches and even guillotines) and putting crosshair sights on SPECIFIC people.

25. I don't see how you're responding to my post |
|
I admitted the right has it closer to their mainstream, way closer than the left. The actual politicians, like Grayson, do not advocate any violence the way Palin and her ilk suggest it. But amongst DU posters I have seen the wish that the whole system would collapse so that the socialist revolution would occur or rumblings to the effect that the Democrats will never do it, so there should be one.

killing ALL of us, it IS self defense to try to change that system. And it will change or we will all die. I suppose you could call it a call for violence if you want. But note, I didn't put crosshairs on the Koch brothers.

you implicate nobody. Nobody is responsible, nothing changes. When someone can show me a national Democratic campaign strategy that relies on gun rhetoric and suggestions of bloodshed, I might believe it.
