5. People who resisted being institutionalized,

or conditioned into being told what to think or how to look were dehumanized. Even now the baby boomers who grew up in the 60s are stereotyped negatively, but they (we) were the result of being HIGHLY EDUCATED. This generation grew up on poetry, American literature, history and philosophy--and grew to see right through the status quo. This is why starting in the 70s the schools started to be dumbed down, to prevent another social revolution from happening.

It is why this country is languishing in ignorance and zombie fundamentalist thinking, it is part of the neo con final solution. Combine this dumbing down and rewriting history to describe hippies as insane, with the robbery of our social security and medicare benefits and the medical marijuana drug war--- and you have an effective strategy for preventing this phenomena from happening again.

I know this may be a controversial viewpoint (the final solution bit), but I actually feel very strongly about this.

10. Yes, yes we were right. I, personally, have always been a PROUD Hippie

and all the derogatory names just rolled off. It's easy to be right when you stand for everything that is GOOD.

I actually had a RW, war mongering old bag and her husband come to my front door, on my own personal property, to tell me they didn't appreciate or like my PEACE flag and told me I was unAmerican and I should be ashamed of myself. I asked her what she had against Peace and she just repeated her same shit. I then told her she needed to talk to my WWII Veteran Husband who helped me hang the Peace flag and she could call HIM UnAmerican. That shut her ass up. They both turned tail and left....after I told them I didn't appreciate them coming onto MY property to insult me and my Veteran husband. Fucking asshole pieces of shit.

A PEACE flag angers people! This country is so terribly fucked up.
