This is heartbreaking. A stampede occurred in Dallas when people – who wanted a chance to fill out a federal housing assistance application -- moved closer to the door. This should not be happening in our country. Another example of why we need to tax Wall St. and use the BILLIONS raised to reinvest in communities, such as Dallas.

edit to remove wrong video. Sorry.

3. What is awful is that people will be more outraged that a few poor people wouldn't stand
in a straight line, not that they were homeless.

8. I'm in the Atlanta area and do not remember hearing about this.
Do you have a link? I remember TV coverage, but nothing about any stampedes.

13. And in Detroit. I think it's deliberate. Anyone who's done events knows better than

to issue a cattle call for something.

You spread out sites, offer online applications, divide by last name, etc. You don't just tell everyone in the city to come down at the same time.

Horrible.

6. Dallas doesn't have to go as far as Wall Street.
It has plenty of millionaires it can tax all by itself.

10. This was shown briefly on "The Ed Show" tonight.
This is a sign of things to come, as this country continues to devolve into the setting for a "Mad Max" movie. :(

12. I think they're deliberately trying to kill people. The same thing happened in Detroit under the
same circumstances -- cattle calls for public assistance without planning/crowd control.

There's absolutely no reason to invite thousands of people down to fill out paperwork at the same time. Ridiculous.
