Thought and prayers to the family of Christina-Taylor Green
http://azstarnet.com/news/local/article_28c8e686-1ca6-5b3e-ab85-965bd22c68c0.html

Truly, my thoughts and prayers are with all the victims, increasing minute by minute, of our toxic political climate and "undeclared" civil war, and to their survivors. But as a parent, it is heartbreaking to read that 9-year-old Christina-Taylor Green was killed yesterday in this insane violence.

I don't want to know how much worse it can get. Can we change yet?

2. No one can make light of this tragedy now
I'm crying again for Christina, and for everyone involved and their loved ones. This tragedy has hurt many who weren't even there.

3. "...undeclared civil war." Truth, rbnyc. And one of the very first victims is a
brown-eyed angel with the sweetest smile.

God help us all.

5. I was told she was born on 9-11-01
and was featured on CNN in some sort of "Children of Hope" segment about kids born on that day.

Is this fact?

"...Christina was featured in a book called “Faces of Hope: Babies Born on 9/11,” about children born on that dark day. Her parents said the date of her entry into the world gave her an interest in politics.

“She was a good speaker. I could have easily seen her as a politician,” her dad told the Arizona Star.

Recently elected to the student council at Mesa Verde Elementary School, she had gone with a neighbor to the “Congress on your Corner” event with Giffords..."

7. Pretty amazing.
Perhaps she can somehow have a positive and transformative influence on how we process and respond to this tragedy. But, I'm sure right now that can't mean much to her family.
