How times have changed. Anyone remember this quote?
"Both Democrats and Republicans believe in climbing the ladder of success. The difference is, Republicans want to pull the ladder up after they've gotten there."
--Barbara Jordan(D-Texas), 1976 Democratic National Convention

It WAS so true then. What's happened? Now I see many Democrats, eg Ben Nelson, Blanche Lincoln, the Clintons, and yes, Barack Obama, acting, or even worse, NOT acting, to accomplish the same thing as the Republicans my hero of the House Watergate Judiciary Committee hearings so aptly criticized once upon a time.

Where, oh where, has my party gone?

1. If you had been on the bus, you'd know where your party
had gone. In fact you could have voted on its direction, I bet.

3. Yes, yes, it IS all my fault: I failed to donate millions to Dem politicians.
If only I had acted like a rich corporation, I'm sure the party would have taken a different direction.

4. You don't know a rhetorical question, do you? For the record, ...
I have always voted in the primaries, and often done more than that. But I find you tiresome. Congratulations! You are the first person to make my Ignore List!

2. Where, oh where, has my party gone?
Consumed from within by parasitic conservatives not content to just ruin one party.

7. You've gotta dance with the ones who brung ya.
Publicly funded campaigns will never be allowed by any of the above. It would be too fair.
