There is something in the water...
was listening to my local NPR station covering a local issue. Well apparently my local paper, useful as a bird liner, ran an editorial being more than just critical of our three Repubs signing the Grover Norquist pledge. This is a paper that would have never done this oh three months ago...

Caller also called NPR to the carpet for their less than fair and balanced coverage and careful use of words, that place blame on the President.

Then we have MSNBC calling the BS of trickle down.

Something IS in the water.

2. Maybe what's in the water is fear of people in the streets?

3. Whatever it is
I hope that people drink up and wake up!

Wish me luck - tomorrow I'll be working an OFA voter registration booth!

Shine on,

4. Everyday more and more - George Carlin is right.

We have owners - they own us. And all these greedy motherfuckers want is more for themselves and less for everyone else. Thankfully we're waking up to their schemes.

8. He was indeed a prophet!
One of the smartest men ever, I'm convinced. He had a way of speaking the truth so that everyone would listen... and some would laugh before they realized that the joke was on them!

6. They know the masses have seen the man behind the curtain with their own eyes...
Now all they have left is to distance themselves from that man before the angry mob lights their torches.

Pox News, the news that infects, must be having a hard time these days.

Is the M$M finally acknowledging they're miserably outta touch w/ reality?
When I see Murdoch in jail I will start celebrating.

the consequences of default may be even more grave than imagined previously.

13. I'm thinking of the one thing that could frighten the uber wealthy.
That their money becomes worthless overnight. So, what could make money worthless?

The change seemed to come with Moody's threat to downgrade.

16. Before Moody's threat...
They were leaning toward August 2nd being a 'made up' date. That was sure short lived!

9. Hey, in Texas and many other states, we KNOW there's something in the water -- we taste it.
It's summer, and the algae taste is very, very strong. My university has some water fountains with a special "filtered water" spigot, which I had been using -- won't go near the unfiltered stuff from the tap. Then, last week, I began to detect the algae taste in even the filtered water.

For several years now, I've been drinking only bottled water -- expensive, but without the horrid taste, and the fear of what's in there that I can't taste but that's there year round. And we all know the major culprit: agricultural runoff that leads to algae blooms.

12. They smell the fall of a media empire in the air.
And blaming the POTUS if what the M$M gets paid to do, just like they all got paid NOT to tell the truth about the GWB reign of terror for 8 years.

14. Yes but a few outlets are starting to take cues
from Thom Hartman... so I smell something serious. They have woken up to the Frankestein they created.

18. That in itself is the oddest turn of events I've ever seen...
It makes me feel like this is much bigger than we know... and now Murdoch's Dow Jones CEO has stepped down... methinks the roots of these trees are far reaching!

20. Reminds me of a conversation with Akaka a few years back
I wonder if them roots include having a lot of juicy tidbits on the political class? He hinted at some of that... I suspected the Bush Admin... now I am starting to wonder if it was Newscorp, for the bushes.

It was an ODD conversation to put it mildly, but it would explain A LOT.

22. I've had similar thoughts...
The wiretapping laws... the justification for same... we all knew BushCo had the communications companies working in the daylight (somewhat) on this... but who is to say all that wasn't a ruse too?! Who is to say this wasn't part of his doing as well? All bets were off once a Democrat held the office of POTUS... but the greed continued.

Just thinking outloud... my mind is on overtime with this story! Holy smokes!

get them hung in the docks imo. That blowback is hitting Fox right now like a bag full of wet bricks to the face!

I agree... at this point, perhaps in the US AND Australia as well.

I am taking now bets on how long until it breaks Latin American veins.
