Police in Ga. shut down girls' lemonade stand
MIDWAY, Ga. – Police in Georgia have shut down a lemonade stand run by three girls trying to save up for a trip to a water park, saying they didn't have a business license or the required permits.

Midway Police Chief Kelly Morningstar says police also didn't know how the lemonade was made, who made it or what was in it.

The girls had been operating for one day when Morningstar and another officer cruised by.

The girls needed a business license, peddler's permit and food permit to operate, even on residential property. The permits cost $50 a day or $180 per year.

2. Damn, Ma'am: People Must Be Able To Just Leave Their Wallets On the Sidewalk In That Town....
If this is all a police chief can find to do with his time, he needs to resign and take up fishing full-time.

16. I swear to god, they do this to boost the Paulite's/neocons view that we're overregulated
This will be on every RW radio show Monday used as an example of how negative regualtion is on the free market. They do this shit on purpose. Especially in Georgia. I can see the moring meet " we need to bust a lemonade stand , orders from above, you two, go find one"
