And the Republicans want us to feel for him and people like him.? Give me a break. There in lies the problem for the Republicans, people like Limbaugh still have way more than they need left over even after a tax increase.
A Google search suggests Limbaugh makes between 2 and 3 million a month.
No one is suggesting a 50% tax bracket for the wealthy, I just used that rate to make it simple for the trolls.

PEACE

15. Check this out
1945: 94% tax on income over $200,000 – absolutely astounding. It stayed over 90% until 1964 when it was lowered to 77% and had been consistently falling until …

6. No, it would leave him with $4 million.
So we need to tax him at 95% to leave him with $2M. Now when was 95% the highest tax rate?

14. It doesn't sound very pretty
"Dante wakes up and finds himself in a stinking rain and hailstorm, deep in filth and muck. It is the circle of the gluttons and is guarded by the three-headed beast, Cerebrus. Virgil scoops up muck from the ground and throws it to Cerebrus to eat, allowing them to pass. The souls in this circle spend eternity wallowing and eating the disgusting slime they live in, again experiencing punishment imitating their gluttonous sins on earth."

50% on all his income. In actuality, he would be taxed at the same marginal rates for the first so much of his income, the next part would be taxed at the second marginal rate, etc.

That way, Rush could pay 90% on everything over $10 mill or so.

22. I think we need a conservative tax
... of about 100%. Tax anyone who isn't a progressive 100% of their income. That'll get rid of the ReThugs fast enough.

26. The idea...
...is to disincentivize behavior that we want to discourage. If we want to make sure that people aren't conservative rethugs, we should make it (financially) painful for them.

28. And what objective standard would you employ to...
determine that someone is a "conservative rethug"?

People have a right to be "conservative rethugs" if they want. And we have every right to oppose them.

Your "idea" is unworkable and unconstitutional.
