Dale Kildee (D) Michigan 5th District not seeking re-election

This is my congressman, and I could not have asked for a better one. I think he's in his 18th term. My best wishes to Congressman Kildee. He is a wonderful man is is truly going to be missed.

Hopefully he'll stay in the Flint area so I can still see him at campaign headquarters.

But he's in his 80's. Maybe John Gleason (MI Senator from Flushing) could replace him?

Sorry - just a personal thing. I've never had to deal with him, other than running into him at party functions, but he has always made me feel very uncomfortable. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if he runs.

I was wondering if Dale's nephew, Dan, might give it a run. The important thing is to keep it in the Democratic Party.

3. Really? He's a little too conservative for me, but

he's a nice guy that tries to do well to his district - and all of Michigan. He helped develop the teacher's retirement incentive a year ago.
