8. That isn't true.
She did want the job and would have been the best person, by a mile.

6. Has she mentioned anything about that?
I understand the sentiment, but has she expressed any interest?

4. What she said yesterday regarding the appointment:
SOURCE: CNN(Money)
CNN's Austin Alonzo contributed to this report.

"With a week to go before the new consumer bureau takes off, the White House has yet to appoint its director -- an omission that Carolyn Maloney, a New York Democrat, asked Warren about."

"Warren was careful and succinct, saying that when the director is confirmed and in place and the bureau gets all of its powers, "it will be a very good day.""

5. Why would her name have been bandied about so much...
... if it was clear that she didn't want the job? Why would it be news that Obama will appoint someone else if Warren wasn't in the running?

The single quote from last year sounds more like a way for the administration to save face at the time.

7. Same reason that people here on DU think that she wants it even though she doesn't.
People don't listen.

10. Not really.
DU is a bunch of people who are busy with other things and follow government and politics in their spare time.

The people talking about Warren are much more involved.
