End all tax deductions. Make the rich and corporations pay their share. |
|
Warren buffet "my secretary pays more of her income in taxes than I do". Anyone that believes "The rich pay blah blah percentage of all taxes", and therefore justifies them paying less is either rich or dumb. It's not what they pay, it's what percentage of their income they pay. The wealthy have so many write offs it isn't the least bit amusing. Write offs designed for the elite only.

1. Its much easier to squeeze the middle & lower classes |

More profitable to the politician as well, especially when they "retire" and take phony jobs from those who owe them a favor too.

2. Okie dokie -- just tell Obama. I'm sure he'll appreciate the |
|
advice and probably hasn't heard that suggestion before. :7
Seriously, I don't understand why they don't just DO it. If we presented the case CLEARLY to the masses, and they saw the truth instead of the BS they're being fed, they'd all be on board, too, don't you think?

3. The working class underwrites the leisure activity of the rich |

Every professional sports arena and stadium has luxury suites where corporations entertain their clients. Taxpayers foot the bill since the costs of these suites are deductions. And many of these stadiums were built at taxpayer expense in the first place. Most fans can't afford to go to such events. Hope the wealthy are enjoying the game and party at our expense.

that paying taxes should start at $35,000 or $60,000 joint. Starting at 1% and working it's way up to 50% for the movers and shakers. They benefit the most from what this country offers. No tax write offs, no loopholes. Never feel sorry for a man that owns a jet plane.

10. There are also tax advantages... |
|
Edited on Sat Jul-16-11 12:32 AM by Davis_X_Machina
...to saving for, and paying for, higher education. For putting aside money in a flex spending account for medical purposes, or to purchase child care. For gifts to charity. For union dues, for special work-related clothing and tools. For medical expenses. For taxes paid to another jurisdiction.... I use every one of those.
And so forth. And beginning in 2014, for having heath insurance -- that's the 'mandate' under PPACA.

Republicans like to reminisce about the good old morally upright days of the 1950s. Well, taxes for the rich were a lot higher then than they are now.
Maybe that's why those times were so much more moral than today. (White like the Tea-Baggers) People felt they had a fair chance. It's hard to believe in a fair chance today.
