2. So idiotic. There is no way you can create a Great Recession in two years even if you work at it |
|
24 hours a day. It's impossible. It took 8 years for bush and the GOP to do it!

3. Well they're half right. |
|
I usually call it a depression. The economy is the worst it's been in my lifetime. I was just a kid during the recession of the early 80's, but I think this is worse. And nobody blamed that recession on Reagan; it was all Carter's fault. In fact, everything that went wrong during the 8 years of the Reagan administration was due to the 4 years of the Carter admin. Republicans always try to pull that shit. If things are turning bad, it's because rich people's taxes are too high. I hope people are beginning to see behind all that bullshit, but there's a lot of fear out there.

Why didn't Obama call it what it was, The Bush Depression? The Bush Depression label should have been used consistently by Obama and his appointees because that is what it is and was. How can anyone paying attention not be hugely dissapointed in Barack Obama? What the hell did we elect?

8. Because, technically, it wasn't a "depression" and Obama is (and was) too busy "playing nice" to... |

...go for an easy political kill.
It's his fatal flaw as a politician: he routinely refuses to seize and use winning moments.
Sheri S. Tepper, my favorite Sci-Fi author, has written a number of stories where the leitmotif is one or another group who are "too good to be any good", that is, a group that will only "take the high ground" and so can't muster what is needed to truly confront and defeat obvious evil even if they realize that their stance "on the high ground" will lead to the death of their entire civilization.*
Obama is exactly such a person: too interested in standing on the high ground to actually get down in the mud and defeat the Republicans. And so we're all losing in his inability to act with the needed force.

6. Even Romney had to walk back his "Obama made it worse comments" but CBS |
|
gets to say the same thing without repercussions.
More proof that we have no liberal media in this country, just Conservative media, more Conservative media, Conservative propaganda and FOX news.
^snip for reference^
In other words, the economy is continuing to be worse, the Obama depression continues to explode,” he added.

and wall street for creating and continuing it.
Is Obama to blame alone? Absolutely not. Does he carry part of the blame for its continuation? Absolutely.
