30. and let's not forget that under Nixon, taxes on millionaires was 70%,
not 35% like today (the difference is staggering), and it was around 90% during most of our history, which made our country a world power - and I'm pretty sure the rich still did amazingly well with all their tax breaks and write-offs, but we better not raise the tax rate back up to 38% - when we obviously (isn't it obvious?) need to take billions from all the social programs of the needy, and protect CEO's multimillion salaries. In fact, GOP House Leader Cantor is pushing a tax cut for corporations to 25%. Nauseating!

And because hedge fund managers only paid 15% in tax, John Paulson made $3 billion betting mortgages would default, and his tax rate being so "generous" caused the US gov't to lose over $600 million in taxes on just that one commission when he cashed in! Wonder why we're in debt? But, hey, let's take it out on the needy in society, and the Social Security fund we pay for out of our checks. Yeah, that's fair, my arse!

39. Situation: You're a photographer taking nature pictures by a rapidly flowing river...
Edited on Sun Jul-17-11 04:36 PM by Buns_of_Fire
Nearby, you can hear, is a violent waterfall. You are carrying nothing but your photographer's kit, which contains many priceless pictures you've taken during your expedition, and a long, stout rope.

Suddenly, you hear screams coming from the river. Looking in that direction, you see a raft rapidly advancing towards the falls. In the raft are several prominent Wall Street executives and an equal number of republican members of Congress, all beseeching you to throw them a rope to keep from plummeting over the falls.

Your dilemma is:

What exposure setting should you use?
