It's not about 'demonizing a group based on the acts of a crazy person' |
|
A phrase I've seen coming from RW defenders...it's about inciting the crazy people.
In the Frankenstein movies, Igor frightens the Monster who then breaks loose and goes on a rampage. Igor can't then say "Not my fault--I didn't know the chains would break!" But that is what the RW defenders are trying to say. (Ooo, there's a cartoon waiting to be drawn--a torch-carrying Igor Palin)

1. In "Van Helsing", Dracula asks Igor why he tortures the monster... |
|
"It's what I do."
So appropriate.

2. It's about using rhetoric with implicit calls to violence ... |
|
We all know it when we see it, the 'Lock and Load', 'RELOAD!' memes that the haters like to employ ...
It's about grabbing your gun and shooting a goddamned Liberal .... Just like Palin meant .... Just like they all think, as far as I know ....
I have heard it from real people, all my life, and so have you ....
I hear it from my family ....
Using this rhetoric is incitement, and we already knew it was when we first heard it ... We had heard it before ...
