Baby Steps. Tough Times create bonds and offers of help. Onward and upward.
Returning from a few days absence I found a bill and note from my teabagger roofer.

We have a number of knock down drag out political yelling fits behind us.
In small businesses, in small towns in the South, at times this is possible and still relationships are retained. The guy who fixes my roof is to the right of conservative and now sports tea bagger decals. He knows that I'm so far left of him that he has to squint to even see me.

I just got back from a week's trip and found his bill in the mail box for an important repair:

"Pay me when u can. I know Bizness stinks".

I like to think this is a sign of hope. Hope we can generate ourselves by being kind to each other.

1. That's a good thing, as Martha would say.

3. I can't imagine how hard it is being a roofer in the South in July.

5. You saw what I meant to show. The sheer difficulties of surviving
in these trying times will make us progress as neighbors and small business communities.
It's the human condition.
At least I hope so, and wanted to share my blip of proof for today.

6. Also, perhaps, on some level, your roofer realizes you aren't the real enemy.
